  • Call for submissions on the sale of Council owned land

    Palmerston North City Council is calling for submissions on a proposal to sell unwanted property in the City and to lift the reserve status on those that are reserves under the Reserves Act 1977.

  • Sludge eating plant launched in Palmerston North

    Funding of $1.1 million from the Government’s Waste Minimisation Fund has enabled Palmerston North to be the first city in the country to pilot an innovative ‘Wetox’ sludge treatment plant.

    Whakarongo has been identified by Palmerston North City Council as the preferred location for residential growth in the city – now Council is calling for formal submissions on Proposed Plan Change 6 that will rezone land at Whakarongo. The Plan Change forms part of the Council’s Sectional District Plan Review.

  • Council backs the appeal of the decision to licence another liquor outlet in Cloverlea

    Palmerston North City Council has voted to support an appeal to the High Court, by a Councillor, of the Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority (the Authority) decision to approve a liquor licence for Big Barrel in Botanical Road, Cloverlea. The appeal is on the basis the Authority erred in law.
