Booking Arrangements
Applications for booking of the Convention Centre can be
made direct to:

Tentative Bookings:
Tentative or pencil bookings will be accepted and held on the
following conditions:
- That the booking is required to be confirmed within one week (7
days) of the Convention Centre being notified that another hirer
wishes to confirm a booking for the same facility at the same time
and date
Confirmed Bookings:
A confirmation fee is required and a confirmation fee
invoice issued upon the return of a completed 'Application to
Hire' form.
The amount of the confirmation fee will be assessed on the
information provided in the application, taking into account the
type and duration of the event.
Once payment of the confirmation fee has been received the
Convention Centre will then acknowledge your confirmed booking in
writing.
Rejection of Application:
The Council or Management reserves the right to:
- Refuse any application, as it may deem fit
- Cancel in writing any booking giving seven days notice. Any
deposit may be refunded but management will not be responsible
for any costs incurred, ie advertising etc.
- Subletting to another hirer is not permitted.
- Persons attending any function will be permitted to use only
the portions being hired.
Refund of Deposit:
Your deposit may be forfeited if you cancel your booking and the
Convention Centre is unable to obtain a replacement.
Final Numbers:
Advice of the numbers attending is required four clear working
days before the start of a conference or function involving
catering.
Payment of Account:
The total account (less deposit paid) is required to be paid
within one calendar month from receipt of account. A surcharge of
10% may be charged on accounts that are not paid within the time
prescribed above.
